WE underestimate the power of one of our most vital bodily life sources: our BREATH. Think about it…. Breathing is one of the most important bodily functions we have. It is a constant detoxifier as oxygen helps “your body absorb vitamins and nutrients more efficiently, creates more white blood cells and helps to speed up the process of “out-with the-old, in-with-the-new inside your system.” With your lymphatic system being fully charged with lots of oxygen, the detoxification of the body naturally does its’ thing. And the best part about this entire revelations is the fact that breathing for most of us that take care of our temples is free and rather automatic.

Well, last week I had an incredible encounter with the force of breath coupled with binaural sounds at Unplug Meditation, one of my favorite new spots to frequent. The experience was profound and I have to thank Tash for the brilliant invite. I was juicing and cleansing and excited to heighten my keen awareness of mindfulness. I did yoga 4 times that particular week and I felt uberly zenned out. However, I yearned to go even deeper with the transformative work I was doing. And, oh boy, did it get deep.

Imagine, everyone laying on the floor on a special mat and eye pillow circling the most beautiful sound instruments and crystal bowls. The lights are super dim. The vocals of a high vibrational being on the planet tunes in welcoming you and guiding you through a breath cycle for 25 minutes followed with 45 minutes of sound bathing.

As you start to activate the rhythmic breathing, more and more, your tummy begins to “hurt”, hands begin to seem like they are sinking in from the centre and all of these other sensations arise as your heart and brain start being pumped with what seems like an over supply of air because our bodies are use to our meager and shallow breaths only. SO, you challenge your mind to ignore the sensations, reminding yourself of what the guide said earlier, “You are in a safe environment to be yourself and to feel whatever you feel,” so push through your fears and surrender and trust that your body has the competence to support this work. You remind yourself that fear is a choice and you choose love, so you push through the feeling or surrender to the feeling shall I say.

As the binaural sounds begin, it soothes you, comforts you, heals you.  The arrangement of the music accompanying the binaural sounds are cinematic, penetrating to the very depths of your soul. Suddenly, these emotions start to creep in, flashbacks of vivid memories from your early childhood up to this particular moment pop up….. As you release, you forgive and you let go of ALL that serves you no longer. You cry, some may even wail, others laugh uncontrollably as we all process all of the craziness in this worldly experience differently. And then, the count down comes 5…, 4…, 3…, 2… 1: now SCREAM as loud as you can stand it, ridding yourself of all negativity.

The idea of this profound deep conscious breathing is to annihilate and exhale fear, anger, self-sabatoginng thoughts, insecurity and to breathe in love, healing, abundance and all of the star magic the cosmos shine on and through us.

So, remember, you are a vibrant and conscious form of light, which deserves the best breath you can muster up. I GIVE THANKS to Unplug Meditation for providing a safe space to remember who we are and where we come from and to be our authentic selves connecting to each other and raising collective consciousness as a whole.
